Job Description

We're seeking an Embedded Systems Technician who's not only adept at conversing with microcontrollers but also enjoys a bit of tech banter. You'll be instrumental in designing and programming microcontroller-based systems, making an impact with your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and program microcontroller-based systems.

  • Integrate commercially available components, from sensors to controllers, with self designs.

  • Develop embedded programs in C, Python, MicroPython, or similar programming, and eventually in low level coding like Assembly.

  • Perform testing and debugging.

  • Perform field installation and start-up of prototype devices.

  • Solve complex technical challenges.

  • Stay updated on embedded systems trends - there's always something new to learn!

  • 40% travel time required

Qualifications

  • Associated degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with over 1 years of experience in designing and/or programming microcontroller-based systems.

Or 

  • Electronics Technician or related field with over 5 years of real hands-on experience in designing and programming microcontroller-based systems.


  • Added bonus for experience in mechanical layout design.

  • Extra points for experience with certifications in hazardous area location hardware systems and FCC communications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and a good sense of humor.
