This, of course, means we are looking for a Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our team- based in the US. This is a remote position but requires to reside in the US and be authorized to work in the US. Direct hire only. No third parties.

We are a small tech company that works with process automation and application integration to streamline operations for mostly industrial clients while also enabling mobile and cloud adoption. Job Description

The Project Manager (PM) is ultimately the single person responsible for the delivery of projects to our customers. This means the PM OWNS the results of the project. They are responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating consulting project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality when delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to our customers. They must manage several concurrent projects at various levels of visibility using traditional and agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may include resources from sub-contractors, partners, and clients.

The PM will be expected to utilize a wide range of skills to carry teams and stakeholders to successfully completing mission-critical projects. The PM is not expected to be a technical expert in all disciplines. However, the right PM will be able to absorb knowledge and will have a passion for learning new things.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management

Help define project scope, create project schedules, and focus on regular and timely value delivery.

Organize, lead, and document project status and working meetings, including agendas, follow-ups, and specific SMART action items.

Prepare and distribute progress reports.

Manage risks and issues and document them in a tracking system

Perform delivery planning for assigned projects and correct deviations from plans

Team Management

Assist in team development, hold teams accountable for their commitments, and remove roadblocks from their path

Leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work

Mentor and develop team members

Product Owner Role and Support for other Product Owners

In most projects, the Project Manager will also play the role of Product Owner, creating detailed requirements in the form of user stories and flow charts. When there is a separate Product Owner, the PM will support them in managing customer expectations for project deliverables.

Perform business & systems analysis and help write software specifications

Manage stakeholder communications

Help implement an effective system of project governance

Process Management and Improvement

Manage a well-defined project management process, support ongoing process improvement initiatives, and implement best practices for Agile Project Management

Team Building

Promote team empowerment, ensuring each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution.

Encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality

Quality Assurance & Testing (QA)

Carry out the quality process with hands-on involvement in testing, creating testing cases, establishing quality criteria design, and writing and performing test cases when required.

Own the quality assurance and testing process, being completely committed to and involved in maximum quality at all times

Required Skills

BA or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA or MS is a plus

Excellent command of verbal and written English

Interpersonal skills, such as mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building

Analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands and priorities

Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish/maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met

Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:

Agile Project Management tools, such as Jira/Greenhopper, Rally, VersionOne or equivalent

Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools

Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels, including the executive level

Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view

Desired Experience

3+ Years of experience as a Project Manager managing all sizes of web and mobile applications projects, including large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.

Direct experience with QA testing, creating testing cases, establishing quality criteria design, and writing and performing test cases.

Have a balanced business/technical background and able to provide both credible guidance to development teams and leadership to business analysts and customers.
